Edmonton, AB - Connor McDavid is making history and keeping the Edmonton Oilers alive in the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers captain scored the game-winning goal in a 5-3 win against the Florida Panthers in Game 4 on Wednesday night.

McDavid's goal came with just over 10 minutes remaining in the third period and broke a 3-3 tie. It was his second goal of the game and his fifth of the series.

The win gives the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the series and puts them one win away from their first Stanley Cup title since 1990.

McDavid has been the driving force behind the Oilers' success this postseason. He leads the playoffs in scoring with 29 points (10 goals, 19 assists) and has been a force on both ends of the ice.

The Oilers will have a chance to close out the series on Friday night in Game 5. The game will be played in Edmonton at Rogers Place.
