Singer Ariana Grande has urged fans to be more mindful and respectful when commenting on her body. In a recent TikTok video, Grande spoke out against body shaming, emphasizing that one's current body should never be compared to an unhealthy past.
"I want to address an issue that I've been thinking about for a while now," Grande said. "I've been seeing a lot of comments and discussions online about my body and how it's changed over the years."
Grande went on to explain that the "body that you've been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body." She added that she is now in a much healthier place both physically and mentally.
"I've been working really hard to take care of myself and to improve my health," Grande said. "And I'm proud of the progress I've made."
Grande concluded by asking fans to be gentler and less judgmental when discussing her body. "I know that you love me and that you care about me," she said. "But please remember that I'm a human being and that I have feelings. And I would appreciate it if you would be more respectful of my body."
